Comedian Mary Mack ( Conan, The Tonight Show, Dry Bar Comedy ) originally hails from northern Wisconsin and has toured internationally as a stand-up comedian the past 20 years. Mack, a favorite on radio shows and podcasts around the country including Marc Maron's WTF Podcast, The Bob and Tom Show, and The Grand Ole Opry, currently stars as Jesse in the Hulu cartoon Solar Opposites by the creators of Rick and Morty . In her long-time variety show, North Star Comedy Hour, Mack combines sketch, variety, and late-night talk show formats for a fun-loving and zany mash up of music, poetry, stand up and sketch comedy. Think Carol Burnett meets north woods. This live PG-13 variety show has appeared in comedy festivals around the country, and now makes its summer home in northern Wisconsin. As comedian and 3-time Emmy winner, Louie Anderson, described her, “Mack is an original character from the Midwest that rings true. She’ll be telling you a joke about one thing, and then she’ll break off into a song about minnows.” Featured acts on this North Star Comedy Hour include house band, Circle of Heat (named after the dial on a crock pot!), national comedians Ellie Hino and Tim Harmston ( The Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central, Dry Bar ), and Twin Cities spoken word icon, Desdamona Ross (PBS).
