Warren Nelson has put the lyrical writings of Sigurd Olson into song, illustrated with historic and contemporary photos. Song for the Wild is a multi-media concert celebrating the legacy of Sigurd Olson, one of America's greatest conservationists of the 20th century. Olson was influential in the protection of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota, Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and Point Reyes National Seashore in California, among many other wild places. The show features the writings of Olson set to music by Warren Nelson and back-dropped by projected photos of Olson and his beloved canoe country.
